Q. In the top right of each page there are three buttons marked A+, A- and Reset – What do these buttons do?
A. These buttons are very useful if you want to increase the size of the text on each page. By clicking on A+, you can increase the text size and continue to do so until it is in very large print. Conversely, the button marked A- decreases the size of the text – and Reset will take the text back to its default setting.

Q. Why am I unable to access some of the pages shown in the text box on the left of the home page, such as “Invite a Friend”, “Your Profile” “Members Directory” etc?
A. These pages are only accessible to members of The Loop Online, requiring a log in using their chosen User Name and Password.

Q. How do I become a member of The Loop Online?
A.  Registering as a member of The Loop Online is a simple process that takes no more than a few minutes. By clicking on the word “Register” in the right sided text box, you go to a page where you are required to fill in a few details.

Q. What information do I need to supply?
A. The information you enter is very basic information about yourself and your business, such as your name, your company, your position within that company, your geographic location and an email address.

Q. Why do I need to supply this information?
A. This information is required so that you build a Loop Online Profile, by which other Loop Online members can identify and find you when they are looking to do business with or just contact you within The Loop Online.

Q. Will my email address be visible to other Loop Online members?
A. No. Members will be able to contact you by sending you messages within The Loop Online, and will not have access to your email address, or any other information you do not want them to see.

Q. Am I able to add to or edit my Loop Online Profile?
A. Yes. You are in charge of the information you supply for others to view regarding you and your business. The only mandatory information required are the basics: Your Name; Your Business; Your Position within that business; Your Location and the Service Sector(s) your business trades in.

Q. How secure is the information I supply to The Loop Online?
A. Very secure. The Loop Online will not divulge, pass on or sell to any third party businesses, organisations or individual’s details of any information members’ supply.

Q. Does the Loop Online accommodate Macintosh or Linux users?
A. Yes. The Loop works in all browsers using Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Opera, on Windows, Macintosh (Mac) and Linux operating systems

Q. Is there any software I need to download?
A. No. The Loop is an internet based communications portal that is easy to access and use – requiring no downloads to use the website and facilities, though we do recommend that your computer has Flash Player 8 or a later version available to use our web conferencing facilities.

Q. What does it cost to get in The Loop?
There is no registration fee to get in The Loop – and no hidden costs thereafter.

Getting in The Loop, 24/7 access to The Loop (including Branded Meeting Room if required)
5 users @ £20 per user, per month
10 users @ £16 per user per month
20 users @ £12 per user per month
Further discounts are available for multiples of 10.
These costs are based on pre-paid annual subscriptions.

This gets you online with one of the most exciting business communications and networking clubs currently available, with access to all the facilities and services that could save you and your business thousands of pounds, Euros or dollars.

Used as a stand-alone means of communicating or as a supplement to existing means, being in The Loop adds value to how you do business and keep in touch with people who matter – at a meagre fraction of any advertising, marketing or networking costs you currently have and will continue to use.
In fact, it is likely that you could not even get a simple lineage advert in your local newspaper for the same cost as getting in the Loop!

Why pay (much) more to use web conferencing facilities or hold online meetings that are private and secure?

Q What are 'branded meeting rooms'?

For just £500 (which includes 5 user log ins) we can set up a link from your website that takes invited visitors to your own exclusive branded online meeting rooms. The rooms are totally secure and only accessible by you and the people you invite in to the meeting.

Q What if I want more than 5 user log ins?

You can add additional users for just £100 per person per year, though we are prepared to discuss discounts for businesses and organisations looking to take out 10 or more user log ins.

Q. Will I receive a reminder when my annual subscription is due for renewal?
A. Yes. The Loop Online will give you notice one month before your current subscription is due to run out, allowing you plenty of time to renew your subscription.

Q. What happens to my registration if I decide not to renew my annual subscription when it is due, but then decide to come back to The Loop?
A. You will have one month’s ‘grace’ between your subscription lapsing and membership of The Loop Online requiring you to re-register and pay as a “new” member.

Q. How many members can my company / business have in The Loop?
A. You can register as many members of your company / business as you like. The more the merrier we say! In fact, The Loop is a great way to communicate with your own staff and colleagues in other branches or geographical locations, saving money on phone calls, text messages and even video conferencing. All we ask is that each member being registered has his or her own identity and an email address for us to validate his or her registration.

Q. How can being in The Loop save me money?

A. There are no call charges to people you contact, talk to or even see in The Loop – as long as you have an internet connection.

Q. Please, tell me more.
A. Well, think about it. Using instant Messaging in The Loop is just as easy as making a phone call, without the call cost.

Q. And ‘seeing people’?
A. This is where The Loop really can save you loads of money. Imagine being able to hold meetings, sales calls and even conference calling all from the comfort of your own office – or even from home!

Q. What’s the catch?
A. There is no catch.

Q. How can I ‘see people’ without leaving my office or home?
A. By using a webcam.

Q. Will the other person also need a webcam?
A. Yes. They are so inexpensive though. We have seen webcams available for as little as £11.99 – and the very best ones cost no more than £50.

Q. I do not have a webcam though. Are they difficult to install on my computer?
A. Absolutely not. A standard set up should take you no longer than a few minutes – and if you’re the boss, you could always get your IT people to install it for you – and on your staff computers too.

Q. And this could save me money?
A. Definitely.

Q. Sounds good. What else is there?
A. You are not only saving money on call costs, but also on travelling costs.

Q. Travelling costs?
A. Being in The Loop can save you money on fuel bills if you are having meetings and conferencing online instead of going to and from other people’s offices or locations. This, of course, brings us on to another valuable saving that being in The Loop brings you.

Q. What’s that?
A. Time!

Q. I always wish I had more time – tell me more.
A. You control the time you spend in The Loop, setting meeting times, time spent in the forums selling, exchanging views, seeking or offering advice – all from the comfort of your own home or office.

Q. And all this is good for the environment too?
A. Absolutely. Fewer carbon emissions by reducing the amount of travelling you do can only contribute towards providing a better environment for everyone.

In The Loop

Q. I’m in The Loop. Now what do I do?
A. First of all, CONGRATULATIONS. We think you have made a very wise and prudent decision to join our community. Now you are in The Loop, we would like to give you a few tips on making the most of your membership.

Q. Such as?
A. Invite others to get in The Loop!

Q. Is that just a way of getting people to sign up and pay you money?
A. No. Inviting others to get in The Loop is the best way to create more opportunities for networking, selling to each other and building a strong community. Like we’ve said previously –“the more the merrier”. If you’re in The Loop just to find new business contacts then that’s fine, but that level of prospecting and relationship building would increase dramatically if your colleagues, customers and suppliers were all in The Loop doing likewise.

Q. That makes sense. What’s in it for me though?
A. The Loop Online offers incentives to members who recommend and are responsible for others getting in The Loop.

Q. What kind of incentives?
A. These can be found in our Members Benefits forum.

Q. What’s that?
A. It’s one of several Loop Online Forums, with this particular one being a place where members can offer benefits, offers, discounts and promotions to other members in The Loop.

Q. What are The Loop Online Forums?
A. The forums are free open ‘discussion rooms’ available to all members for communicating, exchanging views, advice, selling to each other and generally just chatting to each other in a meaningful and constructive way. The forums include;

THE LOOP NETWORKING FORUM
A place where Loop members can get together and network in a place that is easy to get to and is always ‘open’.

Q. Can I offer discounts and promotions for my business?
A. Yes. In fact, we encourage businesses to offer member’s benefits. Just go in the Members Benefits forum and make your offers – or you could take out one of our Member’s Premium Forums.

Q. What are The Loop Members Premium Forums?
A. Premium Forums are additional forums that our members can take out to use for selling their products and service directly to other members, advertising their company or setting up a direct communication with someone in their organisation.

Q. Are Premium Forums free as well?
A. No. However, it is very cost effective to take out a Premium Forum (prices start from just £10 for one week) – and they are available on a short or long-term basis, ranging from one week to a year.

Q. Can I send messages to other people in The Loop?
A. Yes. The Loop has a facility for members to contact others in The Loop by sending them a message (just like an email) that goes to the member’s Loop message box.

Q. What if the person I am sending the message to is not online? How will that person know I am trying to contact them?
A. A notice that you have sent a message will be forwarded to the person’s email inbox.

Q. What is 'instant messaging'?
A. Instant Messaging is a means of communicating in ‘real time’, using chat room-like facilities to “talk” with another person over the internet. It’s similar to a voice based telephone call, except that  the conversation is text based, using your computer keyboard to type the words you want to say, and the other person, or persons, involved in the chat, do the same. You will be able to access this facility by going to the page called Video Chat, in our member’s area.

Q. Can I chat with more than one person at a time?
A. Yes. You can chat with as many people as you wish to invite to the conversation.

Q. How do I invite people to a ‘conversation’?
A. You can create your own secure chat room, including a secure password that only you and the people you invite will know. The rooms are like your own private meeting rooms, all online, totally secure and allowing you to chat with people based anywhere  in the world for as long as you want without having to worry about call costs.

Q. Can I use a webcam in the private meeting rooms?
A. Yes. In fact, we think you can get the most out of being in The Loop by having webcam chats in rooms you set up, or even in our forums.

Q. How do I find and create a secure meeting room in The Loop?
A. It’s easy. Just go into the Video Chat area and you will enter ‘the lobby’. There could be other members in the lobby chatting openly and if they are happy for you to do so; you can join in the chat. However, to create your own private meeting room, click on Create Room, give the room a Name, then create your own secure Password for this room. You can then send a message to the person or people you want to invite into the meeting room telling them the name of the room you have created and the password they will need to enter that room.

Q. Can anyone else enter the room?
A. No. Only people you have given the password to will be able to enter the room you have created.

Q. So, using a webcam, I can have ‘face to face’ meetings and conversations with people anywhere in the world, in a room that is private and secure?
A. Yes.

Q. Can I still use a private room for secure meetings if I do not have or do not want to use a webcam and just use text based instant messaging chat?
A. Yes.

Q. Can I invite more than one person to a meeting using webcams?

A. Yes. You can invite as many people as you wish – though remember, like any other meeting with too many people, getting everyone’s attention can be difficult.

Q. If I have any further questions about getting in the Loop or being in the Loop, what should I do?
A. You can contact us within the Loop by going into our Loop FAQ Forum and asking your question and we will endeavour to answer the question within 24 hours. Of course, others already in the Loop might be able to help you before we do, because that is what being in the Loop is all about.
